UPDATE: Helvetwitter is out! check www.josefrichter.com/helvetwitter
If you are using Helvetireader, maybe incorporated into Fluid or Mozilla Prism, you might have been looking for a nice 512px icon. As I didn’t find any nice one, I decided to make one myself. So here is the result. Feel free to donwnload and share it (please include link to my blog if redistributing).
UPDATE: I made the icon a little bit smaller to better fit among others and to nicely accomodate the unread count.
just right-click and download the icon:
If you don’t know how to turn Helvetireader into stand alone desktop application, please see my older post.
You can change the application icon using Candybar, or just select the PNG icon file when creating new Fluid app.

Hi Josef,
I use GReader all the time using the keyboard shortcuts (great!). I find, however, that I miss the highlighting of the current headline in the list view of Google Reader when I use HelvetiReader (with Fluid). I scroll through the list view using the shortcut ‘n’, and open headlines that interest me with ‘o’. But I can’t tell which headline is the current headline in HelvetiReader. What can I change to make the current headline highlighted?
Hi Peter,
Interesting. Didn’t know about the keyboard shortcuts
Been playing with the CSS today and found out what to change. I uploaded the adjusted helvetireader.css file to my web, so in helvetireader.user.js just change http://www.helvetireader.com/css/helvetireader.css to http://www.josefrichter.com/helvetireader.css The current headline will be highlighted in red. Is this what you wanted?
Maybe I could write to Jon Hicks to include the change in the original helvetireader.css
Josef
HI Josef,
Absolutely perfect! Thank you so much. I hope JH adopts your change.
I find the keyboard drivers for Google Reader are fantastic. Easy way to read and navigate. I keep the navigation menu open on the left and use SHIFT+N or SHIFT+P to move through them (G+A to go to ‘all’); SHIFT+O to open the feed etc. Really easy and automatic about the fourth or fifth time through.
Your red highlight makes this really practical in HelvetiReader.
Best,
Peter

Is there a way for me to download that blue Helvetwitter icon in the dock above?

How about a new icon for Helvetimail and Helvetical? and maybe Facebook and Somethings (GTD)
